Job summary

Performance Contracting is seeking an entry-level Associate Project Engineer for the PCI Des Moines 587 operations in Des Moines, IA. The role offers hands-on experience in project management and estimating and serves as a launching pad for future leaders in an employee-owned environment.

Responsibilities include safety meetings, punch lists, QA/QC support, RFIs/submittals, labor control, material takeoffs, scheduling, warranties, and invoicing coordination.

Qualifications

Performance Contracting is seeking a motivated individual to join our growing employee-owned organization as an entry‑level Associate Project Engineer for its PCI Des Moines 587 operations based in Des Moines, IA.

The Associate Project Engineer role serves as a launching pad for future leaders within PCI. It's a dynamic position offering hands‑on experience in project management and estimating, setting the stage for professional growth and career advancement in an innovative environment.

Job responsibilities include:

• Conducting safety meetings
• Creating and managing punch lists
• Supporting the Quality Control Measures outlined in PCI’s QA/QC program
• Preparing RFI’s and submittals
• Labor control on assigned projects, including setup and maintenance
• Quantitative takeoffs for material ordering
• Supporting the implementation of the job schedule
• Coordinating warranties and O&M’s
• Material coordination with purchase orders and invoicing

This position is safety-sensitive.

Pay Range: $72,600-$77,600

This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Basic Requirements

• Must have a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Construction Science, or comparable work experience
