Job summary

The National Academy of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine is seeking an Associate Program Officer to lead international networks and support early- to mid-career researchers worldwide.

You will coordinate launches, manage selection processes, design fellowship curricula, and oversee travel and meeting logistics while working with sponsors, partners, and internal staff to advance program goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent knowledge.
• Three years of related professional experience.
• Advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads assigned program(s) or project(s) and coordinates nominees and information flow.
• Supports launch of call for applications and manages the selection process.
• Supports design of fellowship/mentorship curriculum and session content with coordination.
• Organizes international meetings and oversees logistics and travel arrangements.
• Develops materials and coordinates/oversees publication and dissemination activities.
• Performs financial and administrative tasks including budgeting and records management.
• Represents the program within and outside the National Academies and collaborates with sponsors.
• Coordinates fellow stipend payments and tracks spending and approvals.
• Coordinates with communications staff to update web pages and newsletters.
• Collects, organizes, and stores program data for evaluation purposes.
