Job summary

Saint Joseph Health System in Mishawaka, IN is seeking an Associate Program Director to join our unopposed 9-9-9 Family Medicine Residency program. You will work under the direction of the Program Director to support leadership, administration, teaching, and clinical activities across the full spectrum of Family Medicine.

This role includes dedicated time for education, resident supervision, curriculum development, scholarly activity, and direct patient care.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited institution.
• ABFM certified or ABOFP eligible physician.
• Eligible for or currently hold an active, unrestricted medical license in Indiana.
• Familiarity with ACGME program requirements, competency-based education, and milestones, preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to develop curriculum, mentor residents, and deliver effective didactic and bedside teaching.
• Meets all current ACGME requirements for the position at time of application.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and didactic teaching across inpatient, outpatient, and specialty rotations within Family Medicine.
• Offer mentorship, coaching, and individualized learning plans to support residents in achieving competency milestones.
• Foster a supportive, inclusive learning environment and exemplify professionalism and patient-centered care.
• Maintain an active clinical practice, providing care to patients of all ages in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Serve as an attending physician on inpatient service, clinic precepting, obstetrics, and procedural training.
