Qualifications

• Currently in a university faculty role with major external grant in relevant area.
• PhD in Chemistry, Engineering, Physics, Biomedical Science, or related field.
• Expertise in medical imaging, including MRI procedures and protocols.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, design, and lead research projects involving ultra-high field MRI.
• Design/write protocols for IRB‑approved research studies.
• Acquire and analyze research data.
• Present research at national and international conferences and/or other institutions.
• Author or co‑author manuscripts in peer‑reviewed journals.
• Maintain familiarity with research literature.
• Foster relationships with internal and external researchers on projects.
• Provide service to the institution through teaching, mentoring, committees.
• Provide service to the profession via manuscript/grant reviews.
• Supervise fellows and students.
• Establish an independent, externally funded research program.
• Provide progress reports to supervisors and funding agencies.
• Train students and fellows in biomedical research methods.
