Job summary

The University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine seeks an Associate Professor on the non-tenure clinician-educator track with expertise in minimally invasive gastrointestinal surgery. Candidates must hold an MD or MD/PhD (or equivalent) and be board-certified or eligible by the American Board of Surgery.

Responsibilities include teaching fellows and residents, clinical care of GI surgery patients, and research in GI surgery.

Qualifications

• MD or MD/PhD or equivalent degree.
• Board certification by the American Board of Surgery or eligible.
• Experience in minimally-invasive gastrointestinal (GI) surgery preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach fellows, residents and medical students rotating on the GI Surgery service.
• Provide in- and out-patient clinical care for general and gastrointestinal surgery patients, especially foregut/hernia.
• Engage in basic science or clinical research in GI surgery.
