Job summary

Texas A&M University-San Antonio invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Associate Professor of Communication and Student Media Director. The successful candidate will teach three undergraduate courses annually (2/1 teaching load) and provide strategic vision, administration, and mentorship for Jaguar Student Media Network.

The role leads student media operations, supports experiential learning, and collaborates with faculty and external partners to advance media production,

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Communication required.
• Outstanding research potential.
• Excellence in university teaching and service.
• Experience directing student media or advising a student media outlet required.

Responsibilities

• Teach three undergraduate courses annually (2/1 load).
• Develop a research program resulting in articles, books, grants, etc.
• Provide leadership for Jaguar Student Media Network and student media operations.
• Collaborate with faculty, alumni, and external media partners to advance experiential learning.
