Job summary

The University of Pennsylvania's Perelman School of Medicine – Surgery department seeks an Associate Professor of Gastrointestinal Surgery (AC track) to lead minimally-invasive GI procedures, including foregut and hernia work, with a focus on teaching and clinical care.

Candidates must hold an MD or MD/PhD and be board-certified or eligible. Fellowship in MIS and robotic skills are preferred, with advanced endoscopic capabilities welcomed. The position is based at HUP in Philadelphia, PA.

Qualifications

• MD or MD/PhD
• Board certification in Surgery or eligibility
• Expertise in minimally-invasive GI surgery
• Teaching responsibilities to Fellows, residents and medical students
• Clinical care of GI surgery patients including foregut and hernia domains
• Fellowship training in MIS and robotic skills preferred
• Advanced endoscopic skills welcomed

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care for GI surgery patients
