IFC is seeking an Associate Product Owner in Washington, DC, to evolve the Salesforce product vision, prioritize the backlog, and partner with stakeholders across the World Bank Group. You will lead Agile ceremonies, drive architecture-aligned design, and ensure delivery of high-value digital solutions that meet security and enterprise standards.

  • Master’s degree in computer science, engineering or related field with 5+ years of work experience, including Salesforce experience in Financial Services.
  • SAFe Product Owner certification is required.
  • Salesforce Platform Administrator certification is required.
  • Experience with Salesforce Financial Services Cloud and Experience Cloud is required.
  • Salesforce Certification as Business Analyst is required.
  • Solid knowledge of Salesforce capabilities (objects, workflows, integrations).

Responsibilities

  • Evolve Salesforce product vision, strategy, and roadmap with alignment to IT priorities.
  • Evaluate Salesforce capabilities to ensure optimal design choices.
  • Translate business and stakeholder needs into a prioritized backlog of epics, stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Be the principal accountable for product decisions balancing stakeholder demands and constraints.
  • Support Agile/Scrum ceremonies and provide clear guidance to the development team.
  • Review and accept work against acceptance criteria and quality standards.
  • Establish and track product success metrics to inform prioritization.
  • Build relationships with sponsors and senior stakeholders across the institution.

Department Context

The mission of the Corporate Information Technologies Department (CIT) is to leverage technology to enable IFC’s strategic priorities and to support IFC’s business and operations. By acting as the technology partner and business enabler, the department provides state-of-art information and technology solutions to support IFC’s Investment & Advisory Services, Financial Operations, Treasury & the Asset Management Company. We work closely with the business to design solutions that automate business processes, help enable business responsiveness to clients, improve operational efficiency and organizational effectiveness, and manage risks. CIT aims to ensure that our solutions meet the business needs of users across a range of functions, including operations and corporate business processes, information, knowledge and learning, data and analytics, and more.

Duties And Accountabilities
  • In coordination with the Product Manager, continuously evolve the Salesforce product vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with the Bank Group’s institutional and IT strategic priorities.
  • Evaluate Salesforce capabilities (standard vs custom) to ensure optimal design choices
  • Translate business and stakeholder needs into a well-prioritized backlog of epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Serve as the principal point of accountability for product decisions, balancing stakeholder demands, technical feasibility, and resource constraints.
  • Support in Agile/Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint review, retrospectives), ensuring the development team has clear, actionable guidance.
  • Review and formally accept completed work against defined acceptance criteria and quality standards.
  • Establish and track product success metrics (adoption, performance, user satisfaction, business value realized); use data to inform ongoing prioritization.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with business sponsors, client departments, and senior stakeholders across the institution.
  • Manage trade-offs between scope, time, and resources; communicate impacts transparently to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with enterprise architecture, security, UX, and QA functions to ensure the product is secure, scalable, and aligned with WBG technology standards.
  • Ensure alignment with Salesforce best practices and enterprise standards
Selection Criteria
  • Master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field with a minimum of 5 years of work experience, including 5+ years of Salesforce experience working in the Financial Services industry.
  • SAFe Product Owner certification
  • Salesforce Certified Platform Administrator is required
  • Experience in Salesforce Financial Services Cloud and Experience Cloud is required
  • Salesforce Certified Business Analyst certification is required
  • Solid knowledge of Salesforce platform capabilities (objects, workflows, integrations)
  • Experience in large-scale digital transformation programs (e.g., CRM implementation)
  • Demonstrated track record as a Product Owner delivering complex digital products within an Agile environment.
