Job summary

Scalable Capital is seeking an Associate Product Manager to lead tax-related client experiences and internal tooling for German and international clients. You will own end-to-end product development, ensure a top-quality UX, and enable scalable tax data processes across jurisdictions.

Collaborate with engineers, PMs, and domain experts to build compliant tax solutions, supported by agile practices and modern tools. International relocation and remote work opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Interest in taxation topics, particularly related to client data, reporting, and regulatory processes in German and international contexts.
• Initial experience in product management or a related role (e.g., business analysis, operations, consulting, or project management) within fintech/banking/complex environments.
• Curiosity to explore complex topics with multiple interdependencies and stakeholders.
• Strong affinity for user experience (UX) and building intuitive, customer-facing products.
• Strong analytical thinking using quantitative and qualitative data to drive decisions.
• Attention to detail with a culture of excellence.
• Excellent communication skills targeted to engineers, stakeholders, or executives.
• Hands-on mentality from ideation to prototyping and user stories.
• Bonus: experience with Jira, Confluence, Figma and similar tools.
• Excellent English communication skills; German advantageous.

• Product Strategy & Roadmap Development: shape strategy with focus on user experience, data quality, and efficiency.
• Client Experience: design intuitive, self-service tax experiences for clients across jurisdictions.
• Client Tax Data & Processes: manage how tax data is collected, maintained, and structured for downstream systems.
• Internal Enablement: build tools and workflows for internal teams to manage tax-related requests.

We are seeking a motivated (Associate) Product Manager to drive the development and enhancement of tax-related client experiences and internal tooling. In this role, you will shape intuitive and compliant tax-related user experiences for both German and international clients, ensuring clarity across jurisdictions. At the same time, you will enable multiple tax calculation engines by building the foundation of client tax data, intuitive user interfaces, and efficient internal workflows. You will collaborate with a highly motivated team of software engineers, product managers, and domain experts to build scalable, compliant, and user-friendly tax solutions.

• End-to-End Product Ownership: Support and take ownership of product development from discovery to launch, focusing on client tax master data, client-facing tax features, and internal enablement solutions.
• Product Strategy & Roadmap Development: Contribute to defining and executing a product strategy with a strong focus on user experience, data quality, and process efficiency, aligning with Scalable’s long-term goals.
• Client Experience: Design and improve intuitive, self-service tax experiences for clients, including tax overviews, submissions, and interactions with tax-related data.
• Client Tax Data & Processes: Own and evolve how client tax-relevant data is collected, maintained, and structured as a foundation for downstream systems and reporting.
• Internal Enablement: Build and improve tools and workflows that empower internal teams (e.g., client success) to efficiently manage tax-related requests and operations.
