  • Partner with design to create clear interactions and raise quality of releases.
  • Test your own work, identify weak assumptions, and avoid treating AI output as correct by default.
  • Get product in front of customers, observe usage, and turn learnings into next decisions.

Job description

Courted is the leading AI-powered platform for real estate recruiting, retention, and market intelligence. We help brokerages and teams understand agent performance, recruit strategically, and retain top talent, all in one place.

The real estate industry moves over $100B in annual commissions, and it is still powered by spreadsheets, cold calls, and guesswork. We are changing that with AI. Our platform combines data, workflow, and machine learning to make every recruiting and retention decision smarter.

We are a high-growth SaaS company shipping fast, working smart, and building transformative tools for the next generation of real estate leaders.

About Courted

Courted is the leading AI-powered platform for real estate recruiting, retention, and market intelligence. We help brokerages and teams understand agent performance, recruit strategically, and retain top talent, all in one place.

The real estate industry moves over $100B in annual commissions, and it is still powered by spreadsheets, cold calls, and guesswork. We are changing that with AI. Our platform combines data, workflow, and machine learning to make every recruiting and retention decision smarter.

We are a high-growth SaaS company shipping fast, working smart, and building transformative tools for the next generation of real estate leaders.

The Role

We are looking for an Associate Product Manager to work directly with our VP of Product on building Courted's broker back office product area from the ground up. This is the operational core of a brokerage: transaction management, agent onboarding, commissions, and back-office accounting. It is complex, high-value work that most of the industry still runs on spreadsheets and manual effort.

You will help take real customer problems through discovery, working prototypes, MVP, beta, and iteration. You will talk directly with brokers and operations leaders, investigate how their businesses work, and turn what you learn into products customers can use and react to.

This is not a role where you will spend most of your time taking notes, writing PRDs, or managing Jira tickets. You will use Claude Code, Cursor, Figma, and other AI coding and design tools to make ideas tangible and shape the product alongside design and engineering.

We are looking for someone early in their career but not early in their ambition. You have already built real things, learn quickly, and want more responsibility than a traditional early-career role would give you. You do not wait for perfectly defined instructions. You ask questions, investigate, build, and keep moving.

You will initially work on strategy and major prioritization decisions. As you demonstrate strong judgment and execution, your scope will expand toward independent ownership of a product area.

What You'll Do
  • Partner directly with the leadership to build the broker back office product from early discovery through MVP, beta, and iteration
  • Talk to brokers and operations teams to understand their workflows, pain points, constraints, and workarounds
  • Synthesize customer conversations, product data, business needs, and technical constraints into clear recommendations
  • Build working prototypes and thin product slices using Claude Code, Cursor, Figma, and other AI-assisted tools
  • Own defined product workstreams from problem definition through launch, measurement, and iteration
  • Investigate data, APIs, permissions, workflows, and product behavior to understand why something is happening
  • Run structured experiments: define the hypothesis, build the fastest credible test, inspect the result, and recommend what should happen next
  • Partner with engineering to determine what can remain exploratory and what must be hardened for production
  • Partner with design to create clear, coherent interactions and raise the quality of what ships
  • Test your own work, identify weak assumptions and failure cases, and avoid treating AI-generated output as correct by default
  • Get product in front of customers, observe how they use it, and turn what you learn into the next product decision
  • Stay current on new AI products and development methods, then bring the useful ones into how Courted works
What You Bring
  • 1-3 years of experience across product, engineering, design, analytics, operations, consulting, startups, or another relevant field. Previous product experience is not required
  • Evidence that you have personally built and shipped something functional: a side project, application, startup, internal tool, capstone, prototype, or similar product
  • Fluency with AI tools. You use AI to build, investigate, reason, and improve your work, not only to summarize information or draft documents
  • A track record of learning unfamiliar products, industries, or technical concepts quickly
  • High agency. You take ownership, surface blockers early, and do not wait to be told every next step
  • Comfort moving across documents, designs, data, and code. You do not need to be an engineer, but you should be curious about how software works
  • Strong customer curiosity and the ability to look past a feature request to understand the underlying problem
  • Emerging product and interaction taste. You notice when something is confusing, incomplete, or unlikely to create real value
  • Judgment about the limits of AI-generated output and a habit of checking your own work
  • Clear written and verbal communication
  • A low-ego, collaborative approach. You expect your work to be critiqued, changed, or discarded as the team learns
  • Bonus: experience with B2B SaaS, real estate, fintech, agentic products, APIs, SQL, or operationally complex workflows
Why Courted
  • Real ownership, early: work on a critical new product area and see your work reach customers
  • Direct mentorship: partner closely with leadership while building toward independent product ownership
  • The frontier of product craft: help define how an AI-native product team researches, designs, builds, evaluates, and ships
  • AI and vertical depth: build at the intersection of machine learning and a $100B+ industry that is ready for better software
  • Rapid growth and visibility: work directly with founders, customers, design, and engineering, and grow quickly through real responsibility
What It's Like to Work Here
  • We are a small, focused team that values velocity, candor, and follow-through. Everyone builds. Ideas do not get kicked down the line
  • We work with urgency and expect people to follow through on what they own
  • We care a lot about the work and very little about titles. People here are competitive about outcomes, not credit
  • We are a high-trust team that ships fast and sweats the details
  • We give direct feedback, change our minds when the evidence changes, and expect everyone to keep learning
  • We debate ideas, not people, fix things in daylight, and keep a sense of humor while doing it
The Details
  • The team is NYC-based and in the office 3-4 days per week
  • Salary range: $90,000-$120,000
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance, with premiums fully covered
  • 401(k), generous PTO, and team lunches in the office
