Spectrum Noticias is seeking an Associate Producer to collaborate with newsroom teams to craft compelling stories. You’ll tackle sensitive topics and tell character-driven stories that connect with your local community across TV, digital, and connected platforms.

Ideal candidates bring 0–2 years in television news, a high school diploma, and fluency in Spanish and English, with strong news-writing and research skills and a willingness to travel.

Required Qualifications

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO SPECTRUM NOTICIAS

• Experience: Television news - 0-2 years
• Education: High school diploma
• Language: Write and speak Spanish and English fluently
• Technical Skills: Knowledge of current events, social media, and industry trends
• Skills: Ability to collaborate, news writing skills, and attention to detail
• Travel Ability: Must be open to travel to discover the important stories in your neighborhood and willing to interact with the community
• Schedule: Ability to work different shifts and be flexible with schedule changes

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism or related field, comparable television work experience preferred
• Working knowledge of general office computer software, newsroom software and basic non-linear editing systems
• May be required to lift up to five pounds

Working Conditions

• Works primarily inside a climate-controlled environment throughout the year but might be assigned field duties on occasion
• Semi-noisy newsroom setting

A qualified applicant’s criminal history, if any, will be considered in a manner consistent with applicable laws, including local ordinances.

The base pay for this position generally is between $20.40 and $43.30. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
