Job summary

Dragos is seeking a Resident Engineer to partner with a federal customer in Washington DC. This onsite, customer-facing role plans, deploys, and optimizes the Dragos Platform within the ICS/OT environment, installs, tunes it to operations, and ensures reliable security across critical systems.

The ideal candidate lives near DC, holds an active Secret clearance, has 5+ years in ICS/OT cybersecurity, and is proficient with Linux, Docker, scripting (Python/Shell), SIEMs, and ELK.

Qualifications

• Must live within commuting distance of Washington DC and onsite 5 days a week.
• Active Secret clearance (or higher) required.
• 5+ years of ICS/OT cybersecurity experience.
• Strong networking knowledge: IP networks, OSI model, Purdue model, ICS protocols.
• Experience with Linux, Docker, scripting languages, SIEMs, and ELK stack.
• Experience with on-premise and cloud software for the enterprise, managing multiple stakeholders.
• Customer-oriented with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 30%.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Sales and Solution Architect teams to define platform objectives.
• Partner with client teams on network architecture and sensor placement; deploy upgrades and configuration changes.
• Tune and monitor the Dragos Platform to meet objectives and ensure availability.
• Develop content, workflows, and provide break/fix support; manage escalations.
• Provide knowledge transfer, training, and feature walkthroughs to stakeholders.
• Maintain client engagement via feedback and roadmap updates.
• Coordinate with Intel and Threat Hunting teams to deliver outcomes.

Overview

Washington DC – Dragos is seeking a Resident Engineer to partner with one of our strategic federal customers in Washington DC. In this onsite, customer-facing role, you will plan, deploy, and optimize the Dragos Platform within the customer\'s ICS/OT environment. You will work hands-on at customer facilities to install the platform, tune it to operational needs, and ensure reliable security coverage across their ICS/OT systems. You\'ll serve as a trusted technical partner, guiding deployment, troubleshooting, and ongoing platform adoption to strengthen and sustain the security of critical infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Dragos Sales and Solution Architect teams to understand customer use cases, success criteria, and define Dragos Platform objectives.
• Partner with client teams on network architecture, sensor placement, and integrations; coordinate and conduct full deployments including upgrades, patches, and configuration changes.
• Tune, optimize, and monitor the Dragos Platform to meet defined customer objectives and ensure continuous availability.
• Develop content, build foundational workflows, and provide troubleshooting and break/fix support; manage escalations as needed.
• Provide knowledge transfer, training, and new release feature walkthroughs to key stakeholders while documenting processes.
• Maintain ongoing client engagement by soliciting feedback on feature requests, communicating product roadmap updates, and identifying opportunities for additional Dragos products and services.
• Coordinate and collaborate with internal Dragos teams including Intel and Threat Hunting to deliver comprehensive customer outcomes.
