Job summary

HDR is seeking an Associate Principal, Interiors to lead design across all project phases and mentor the interior design team. You will coordinate with stakeholders, manage client communications, and deliver high-quality concepts through construction administration.

The role requires a master level knowledge of interior design processes, strong presentation ability, and proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp/Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite, Bluebeam, and MS Office.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture.
  • NCIDQ certificate holder required or strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a design firm environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead design across all project phases from programming through construction administration.
  • Supervise and delegate to interior design team; liaise with stakeholders.
  • Present concepts clearly using Revit, AutoCAD, and presentation materials.

In the role of Associate Principal, Interiors, we'll count on you to:

Be responsible for design in all phases of a project, and demonstrates a master level knowledge of the interior design process from programming through construction administration. S/he also leads the interior design team on projects of any size or complexity, in addition to delegating to and supervising the work of others. Must have professional communication, presentation, and client management skills, along with the ability to clearly document and present design concepts to all project stakeholders and industry peers. This individual must be a team player focused on collaboration with the ability to maintain a consistently positive attitude despite challenging circumstances. It is critical that the Associate Principal, Interiors be able to leverage technology to present and document their ideas. This individual will not always have direct design support, especially if located in one of HDR's smaller offices. So the ability to produce presentation materials and associated documentation is an important component of this position. Therefore, a strong working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp/ Rhino (or similar), the Adobe Creative Suite, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office is required.

    The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions. Temporary and part-time roles eligible for limited benefits.) $98,000-$140,000
