Job summary

Joseph’s Classic Market is seeking a Prepared Foods Associate to help guests choose items they’ll love and provide warm, knowledgeable service. You’ll contribute to the department’s display, freshness, and overall dining experience with quality prepared foods.

Located in Boca Raton, the role emphasizes hands-on training, teamwork, and opportunities to grow within the department as you learn about product knowledge and operations.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Prior kitchen or food preparation experience preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Basic math and reading skills.
• Strong attention to detail and visual presentation.
• Team player with a positive, service-oriented attitude.
• A passion for serving people.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by offering product knowledge and suggestions.
• Maintain product freshness through rotation and quality checks.
• Restock and rotate displays for visual appeal and freshness.
• Prepare salads and pack soups, pastas, sauces, and other prepared foods.
• Plate, package, and present items to Joseph’s standards.
• Label and price self-service items.
• Follow food safety and sanitation protocols at all times.
• Operate basic counter equipment (scales, knives, etc.).
• Assist with other tasks as assigned.

Routine Tasks:

Physical & Work Environment

A Prepared Foods Associate works primarily within the Prepared Foods department. This role involves walking and standing for extended periods and lifting products weighing up to 50 pounds. The position includes frequent interaction with customers and fellow team members in a fast-paced, food-focused environment.
