Job summary

Cetera Financial Group is seeking a Platform Consultant to serve as a subject matter expert and independent contributor. You will deliver consulting engagements, develop educational content, and drive platform adoption across advisors and internal teams while operating with a high degree of autonomy.

You will collaborate with Training, Marketing, Compliance, and Service to create content, run webinars, and support platform adoption.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years in financial services tech, consulting, or platform roles.
  • 1–2 years hands-on use of MAA (Envestnet).
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Understanding of MAA workflows (model building, proposals, accounts, trading, reporting).
  • Strong communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Develop proficiency in MAA core and advanced features.
  • Deliver consulting, training, and webinars independently.
  • Create and maintain education content and enablement materials.

Job description

A Platform Consultant serves as a subject matter expert and independent contributor, responsible for delivering consulting engagements, developing educational content, and driving platform adoption across advisors and internal teams. This role operates with a high degree of autonomy and plays a key role in translating platform capabilities into practical, advisor-facing solutions.

The Platform Consultant contributes in the following ways:

  • Develop intermediate to advanced platform expertise and apply it to advisor engagements
  • Independently deliver consulting, training, and webinars
  • Create and maintain educational content and enablement materials
  • Collaborate across departments and act as a liaison between teams

Support adoption initiatives and improve platform utilization and outcomes

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong proficiency in My Advice Architect (MAA), including both core functionality and advanced features
  • Understand key business workflows for advisory-based business and how to optimize them within MAA
  • Analyze platform usage trends and identify opportunities to improve advisor efficiency and adoption
  • Investigate and help resolve MAA platform issues, identifying root causes and recommending solutions

Partner with platform vendors and internal teams to relay feedback, track defects, and support enhancements

  • Create and deliver webinars, training sessions, and educational content for the MAA platform
  • Develop new training programs and webinar presentations aligned to advisor needs
  • Review and improve existing content for accuracy, completeness, and usability
  • Align content with best practices, business workflows, and adoption goals

Collaborate with internal teams (Training, Marketing, Compliance, Service) to develop and distribute content

Consulting & Advisor Engagement
  • Conduct 1:1 consults with advisors on fundamental and intermediate MAA topics
  • Deliver channel trainings, webinars, and conference sessions to support adoption
  • Assess advisor usage and recommend improvements to increase productivity and satisfaction
  • Document advisor engagements accurately in Salesforce CRM

Contribute to development of consulting frameworks, assessments, and delivery materials

Change Management & Project Execution
  • Take ownership of assigned projects and initiatives, ensuring timely and high-quality completion
  • Participate in platform roadmap discussions, release readiness, and adoption efforts
  • Support rollout of MAA enhancements through training, communications, and collateral

Act as a liaison across departments to coordinate efforts and ensure alignment

What you need to have:
  • 3–5 years of experience in financial services technology, consulting, or platform-related roles
  • 1-2 years of hands‑on usage of the MAA (Envestnet) platform
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Understanding of key MAA workflows (model building, proposal creation, account servicing, trading and reporting)
  • Effective communication skills with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work consistently
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work across teams
  • Analytical thinking and problem‑solving capabilities

Commitment to continuous learning and staying current on platform capabilities

Compensation:

The base salary range for this role in Dallas, TX is $70,000 - $95,000 plus a competitive performance‑based bonus. Base salary depends on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and location. Salary range may also differ significantly due to geography and cost of labor considerations.
