The Tulalip Tribes in Tulalip Bay is seeking an Associate Planner III responsible for current permitting activities and supervising junior planners. The role involves overseeing complex development applications in compliance with various laws and representing the Tribes in regional planning committees.
Qualified candidates should have a Bachelor's Degree in Planning, at least five years of relevant experience, and a strong understanding of land use regulations. This full-time position offers a compensation of $33.27 per hour.

Planning
The Associate Planner III is responsible for current permitting activities. Supervises and mentors junior planners, reviews and prepares written responses on complex or inter‑jurisdictional development applications. For conformance with tribal, federal, state, and county laws, oversees Permit Review Committee and assists with Planning Commission activities and meetings. Assists with long‑range planning including updates to the comprehensive land use plan and codes, reviews and comments on changes to other jurisdiction’s plans or regulations. Represents the Tribes on regional planning committees as assigned and participates in or coordinates other projects and initiatives as directed.
