Job summary

Marsh is seeking candidates to join our Life Sciences Placement team focused on product liability, clinical trials, and E&O coverage. This hybrid role is based in New York, Philadelphia, or Chicago, with a requirement to work at least three days a week in the office.

You will develop renewal strategies, select insurers, negotiate terms, and present program recommendations. You will also support client retention and new business through participation in RFPs and coverage reviews.

Qualifications

  • College degree required.
  • 2-5 years of insurance industry or relevant experience.
  • P&C licensed, or ability to obtain within 3 months of employment.

Job description

Marsh is seeking candidates to join our Life Sciences Placement team focused on product liability, clinical trials, and E&O coverage based in our New York, Philadelphia, or Chicago office locations. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

What can you expect
  • Work in conjunction with Marsh's senior team members to develop and execute renewal strategy, select insurers to approach, negotiate broad coverage terms, produce and present program recommendations and complete documentation of all placement activities.
  • Foster relationships within your team, colleagues, clients, carriers to provide cohesive client service.
We will count on you to
  • Consult management on complex client issues or trends through clear and concise communication and participate in development of solutions
  • Ensure client renewal transactions are compliant with professional standards
  • Assist in special projects within team
  • Consult with client executives and client teams to support client retention and new business production such as active participation in RFPs and coverage reviews
  • Coverage expertise to be able to negotiate and drive optimal terms on behalf of our clients
  • Thorough review of all quotes, binders, and policies to ensure accuracy of coverage placed

What you need to have
  • College degree
  • 2-5 years of insurance industry or relevant experience
  • P&C licensed, OR ability to obtain within 3 months of employment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook) and the ability to learn proprietary applications/databases

Marsh is committed to hybrid work, which includes the flexibility of working remotely and the collaboration, connections and professional development benefits of working together in the office. All Marsh colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week. Office-based teams will identify at least one "anchor day" per week on which their full team will be together in person.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $72,500 to $154,300. The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
