Job summary

CoStar Group is seeking an Associate Photographer in Baltimore, MD to capture high-quality real estate imagery, virtual tours, and floor plans for Homes.com and Apartments.com. You will work closely with clients, sales, logistics, and the management team to deliver compelling content.

The role requires real estate photography experience, strong customer focus, and time management in a fast-paced environment; FAA Part 107 license is preferred and a valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of professional photography experience, preferably real estate.
  • Real estate photography experience required or a degree in photography.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Strong customer-service mindset.
  • FAA Part 107 license or certification required within 30 days of offer.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficient with Windows, Microsoft Office, and Apple iOS.

Responsibilities

  • Capture high-quality 3-D virtual tours and footprints.
  • Create a portfolio of photographs that features homes and apartments, using photography techniques to capture spaces in the most pleasing way possible.
  • Work closely with scheduling and dispatch teams to maximize appointments and meet client demands.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, sales, researcher partners, and management to assess priorities, initiatives, and tasks.
  • Navigate one-mile square grids to identify inventory and properties to be photographed.
  • Adhere to CoStar safety standards, safeguarding equipment.
  • Represent CoStar professionally at conference calls with sales and research teams as needed.

Role

The Associate Photographer is a versatile team member responsible for media collection for Homes.com and Apartments.com. Armed with a Pro 3 Matterport, digital camera equipment, and an iPad, the photographer creates virtual tours, floorplans, and photography for residential homes. Each photographer is assigned a core territory to service clients of Homes.com and Apartments.com, meeting appointments set for defined dates and times to capture virtual tours, floorplans, and residential marketing photography. The role collaborates closely with clients, sales associates, logistics, and the management team and is managed remotely by a Photography Manager located in local markets.

Responsibilities
  • Support marketing efforts on Homes.com and Apartments.com by capturing high‑quality 3‑D virtual tours and footprints.
  • Create a portfolio of photographs that best features homes and apartments, using photography techniques to capture spaces in the most pleasing way possible.
  • Work closely with scheduling and dispatch teams to maximize appointments and meet client demands.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, sales, researcher partners, and management to assess priorities, initiatives, and tasks.
  • While not photographing a residential home, navigate one‑mile square grids to ensure complete commercial real estate data coverage, identifying new inventory, missing availability, and commercial properties to be photographed.
  • Adhere to CoStar safety standards, safeguarding company vehicle and equipment.
  • Represent CoStar professionally at all times and participate in conference calls with sales and research teams as needed.
Physical Requirements

Repetitive and frequent sitting in a car, standing, and walking for up to 8 hours per day; lift, carry, and maneuver equipment weighing up to 5 pounds; repetitive hand and arm movements for typing on a tablet or laptop and operating camera equipment; occasional bending, stooping, squatting, lifting, twisting, and carrying; ability to work and drive outside during all seasons; ability to work weekends on a rotating schedule.

Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of professional experience with a track record of commitment to prior employers.
  • Real estate photography experience required or a recent degree in photography.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Strong customer‑service experience with a client‑first mindset.
  • Experienced drone photographer with a FAA Part 107 license/certification obtained within 30 days of offer.
  • Strong time‑management skills and a detail‑oriented approach.
  • Capability to accurately capture and enter data.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office, Internet applications, and Apple iOS products.
  • Enjoys working independently in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Field experience preferred.
  • Current and valid driver’s license; satisfactory completion of a Driving Record/Driving Abstract check prior to start; driving history must reflect responsible driving behavior and compliance with traffic laws.

Compensation

Base Compensation: $49,000 – $50,000 (Hourly). Additional performance‑based incentives apply.
