Job summary

Providence St. Joseph Hospital Orange in Orange, CA is hiring an Associate Pharmacy Technician on a per diem basis. You will fill and dispense unit-dose and stock medications from the pharmacy to nursing units and other departments, including oral and IV meds, with focus on accuracy and efficiency.

Required: H.S. Diploma or GED and California Pharmacy Technician License. Preferred: pharmacy technician program, inpatient experience, and familiarity with ADMs and EHR systems.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Fill/dispense unit-dose and stock medications to nursing units and other departments.
• Fill/dispense oral and IV medications with accuracy and speed.
• Triage patient orders and maintain the automated dispensing system integrity.
• Support nursing units and other ancillary departments as needed.

The Acute Care Pharmacy Tech I performs duties relating to the filling and dispensing of unit dose and stock medications from the pharmacy to the nursing units and other ancillary departments in a prompt accurate manner. Fill/dispense oral and IV medications, triaging patient orders and maintaining the integrity of the automated dispensing system.

Required Qualifications:
