Job summary

Providence St. Joseph Hospital Orange in Orange, CA is seeking an Associate Patient Care Technician for the Emergency Department. Positions are Full-Time with Evening and Night shifts; 12-hour shifts available. Schedule options can be discussed at interview.

Under RN supervision, you will care for ED/CC patients, completing tasks to support patient safety and comfort. Required CNA/EMT and BLS credentials, with MAB training provided after hire.

Qualifications

• Completion of 1 clinical semester of nursing school or equivalent educ/experience.
• 1 year as an EMT or CNA in a relevant setting.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
• MAB training within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to the ED or Critical Care patient under the direction of the RN, Clinical Coordinator, and Department Manager.

Under the direction of the Registered Nurse, Clinical Coordinator, and Department Manager, provides care to the Emergency Department or Critical Care patient.

Required Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training: Completion of 1 clinical semester of nursing school, or equivalent educ/experience
  • 1 year as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Corpsman in the Armed Services, PCT, or
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in an acute hospital setting, sub-acute long term care setting or outpatient/home health setting.
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• Within 90 days of hire Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) - provided by St. Joseph Hospital

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 years of experience working in an emergency department as an EMT or CNA.
