Patent Prosecution Associate – Chemistry

A highly regarded intellectual property practice is seeking a Patent Prosecution Associate with a strong chemistry background and experience in small molecule and/or pharmaceutical matters. The position is open in U.S. offices and offers an opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies for sophisticated clients.

The ideal candidate will have:

• A PhD in Chemistry or a closely related field
• Small molecule and/or pharmaceutical experience
• 1–3 years of experience as a patent prosecution attorney
• Active membership in a state bar and compliance with applicable CLE requirements
• Registration before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office
• Excellent legal writing and analytical skills
• Strong academic credentials
• The ability to analyze complex legal and technical matters in detail
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with clients, attorneys, and staff
• A collaborative, team-oriented approach
