Responsabilidades

• Fill pulpit as needed and assist in ministry planning.

• Lead New Member Orientation and Sunday school oversight.
• Provide biblical counseling and refer to professionals when needed.
• Support vision and ministry objectives of Flint Baptist Church.
• Plan and administer Community Missions Budget and Christmas Blessings.
• Be available to conduct weddings and funerals.

POSITION TITLE: Associate Pastor

REPORTS TO: Senior Pastor and Executive Pastor

POSITION SUMMARY: The Associate Pastor provides support to the Senior Pastor and Deacons. This role encompasses pastoral care, preaching, teaching, and building relationships with members and visitors while ministering to their spiritual needs and obtaining assistance for their physical needs when needed.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Fill pulpit as needed
• Collaborate with the Senior Pastor and Deacons to oversee both inreach and outreach activities
• Organize schedule and lead team for hospital visitation
• Hospital visitation and calls
• Shut-in visitation and calls
• Visitor and prospect callsContact/meet with individuals requesting benevolence assistance
• Lead New Member Orientation
• Member of Education Ministry Team- enlist, train, and empower Sunday school teachers, develop and implement new Sunday school classes, and oversee room utilization
• ? Provide biblical counseling, prayer, and ministry to individuals in need or refer to professional counselor when necessary
• Support the Senior Pastor and Executive Pastor in planning and implementing the vision and ministry objectives of Flint Baptist Church
• Plan and administer the Community Missions Budget
• Plan and administer the Christmas Blessings program
• Be available to conduct funerals and weddings
• Other duties as assigned

• Minimum 5-10 years ministry experience
• Demonstrated proficiency in preaching and teaching
• Ability to effectively engage and connect with church members and visitors
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• A passion for ministry service
• Strong organizational skills

• A demonstrated Christian faith commitment
• Member of Flint Baptist Church
• A commitment to good interpersonal relationships, teamwork, and support of church ministries
• A commitment to confidentiality regarding all account records of the church, staff, and all church members
• Must be Biblically sound and exhibit personal conduct that reflects positively on the integrity of the church
• Show Christian character and values both personally and in their relationship with Flint Baptist Church members and fellow staff members
