Job summary

Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary is looking for an Associate Pastor to contribute to the spiritual health of Family Bible Church. Responsibilities include leading discipleship ministries, teaching, and recruitment of lay leaders.

The ideal candidate should have a strong relationship with Jesus Christ, a relevant Bachelor’s degree, and at least five years of leadership experience. This role may include a succession to the Lead Pastor position.

Qualifications

• Stable, mature relationship with Jesus Christ and clear salvation testimony.
• Understanding of moral and spiritual qualifications as noted in 1 Timothy, 2 Timothy, Titus, and Acts.
• Minimum of five years leading multiple staff.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee a unified approach to Life Groups & Adult Discipleship Ministries.
• Lead recruitment and training opportunities for lay leaders.
• Develop marriage enrichment opportunities aimed at younger marriages.
• Assume Sunday morning teaching/preaching responsibilities.
• Attend Elder and staff meetings.
