Job summary

Christ Church in Tyrone, GA seeks an Associate Pastor to partner with the Lead Pastor and elders to shepherd the church and lead ministries. This full-time role focuses on discipleship, care, and developing ministry leaders; you will guide pathways from first visit to membership and service.

The ideal candidate loves the local church, communicates clearly, and can shepherd people while overseeing a ministry area from vision to implementation. 6–12 month elder assessment may occur.

Qualifications

• Meets biblical elder qualifications (1 Tim 3; Titus 1).
• Completes M.Div. or equivalent seminary degree.
• 5–10 years of ministry experience and ability to teach God's Word faithfully.

Responsibilities

• Provide ministry leadership across Welcome, Shepherding & Care, and Discipleship.
• Oversee leaders and teams for visitor welcome, membership, and care pathways.
• Coordinate care systems with elders and Lead Pastor; track care needs.
• Recruit, train, coach, and multiply ministry leaders; develop leadership pipelines.
• Preach 6–10 times per year and participate in elder meetings.
