Job description

Illinois – Eden Church of Edwardsville, located 30 minutes northeast of St. Louis, is seeking a full-time Associate Pastor. Working alongside the Senior Pastor, staff, and church leadership, the Associate Pastor will provide pastoral care, preach, teach, disciple and develop leaders, and lead outreach. The Associate Pastor position will bring a renewed focus to younger men and women, helping them grow toward spiritual maturity, developing healthy marriages and families, and establishing homes where the gospel is faithfully lived out and passed on to the next generation. The Associate Pastor will intentionally invest time in individuals through discipleship, mentoring, spiritual development, and training; participate in the educational ministry of the church; preach regularly; develop support-group ministries; pursue outreach to the surrounding community and SIUE campus; and work to connect new people with the church. The ideal candidate will love the Lord Jesus Christ, be Spirit-led and biblically grounded, lead by personal example, encourage people to apply their faith to daily life, and demonstrate effective pastoral and relational ministry. The Associate Pastor candidate will be a mature, capable, and cooperative ministry leader who empowers others to serve Christ and His church, committed to advancing the gospel from one generation to the next.
