Job summary

Chartis Group is seeking an Associate Partner in Clinical Innovation & Access, Performance Transformation. This remote, full-time role sits on the Performance Transformation Line of Business and involves leading 1-2 engagements while shaping client strategies to improve patient access and care delivery across healthcare systems.

The role requires 10+ years in healthcare advisory with 3+ years in people leadership, plus an MBA/MPH or equivalent; prior consulting experience is preferred.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years working with healthcare providers on strategic and/or operational initiatives.
  • 3+ years managing others.
  • Advanced degree preferred (e.g., MBA, MPH).
  • Prior management consulting experience preferred.
  • Experience leading operational initiatives such as financial performance improvement, physician enterprise transformation, and access.
  • Superior communicator capable of motivating clients to action.
  • Strong leadership to attract, mentor, and develop consulting professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Lead problem-solving and day-to-day management of engagement teams, coordinating with subcontractors and team members.
  • Apply thought leadership to client engagements and develop actionable insights and scalable frameworks.
  • Build and maintain client relationships leveraging healthcare knowledge to address issues.
  • Create sophisticated, compelling communications that motivate clients to act.
  • Coach and mentor junior staff, accelerating skill development through mentorship.
  • Support business development activities, client proposals, and industry events.
  • Contribute to firm initiatives focused on talent, IP development, and knowledge creation.

Role Overview

Associate Partners are integral members of our firm’s leadership team, contributing to firm-building efforts while managing 1-2 consulting engagements at a time. Associate Partners provide leadership across multiple dimensions – thought leadership, consulting engagement delivery, client service, business development, and cultural stewardship.

Focused on improving how patients access care, Chartis’ Consumer Access practice leverages innovation and technology to help organizations enhance the patient experience and better serve their communities. Our offerings include access strategy and implementation, cancer center access, demand and referral management, and service center optimization.

Responsibilities

Lead the problem-solving process and day-to-day management of engagement teams, including overseeing teams’ analysis and deliverables, often coordinating with subcontractors as well as consulting team members.

Apply thought leadership to client engagements, generating actionable insights that drive meaningful improvement for the firm’s clients, developing frameworks and approaches with broad potential impact.

Build and maintain client relationships drawing upon healthcare knowledge and insights to address issues within and beyond the scope of specific consulting engagements.

Create sophisticated, compelling communications that motivate clients to action.

Act as a coach and mentor to junior staff, rapidly developing their skills and knowledge through an apprenticeship-based development model.

Help build the firm’s portfolio of business through support of client proposals, participation in industry events, and other marketing activities.

Contribute to firm initiatives focused on talent (e.g., recruiting, training), knowledge (e.g., IP development, white papers), and other core areas.

Qualifications and Desired Skills

At least 10 years working with healthcare providers on strategic and/or operational initiatives, including recent medical group advisory experience and 3+ years managing others

Advanced degree preferred (e.g., MBA, MPH)

Prior management consulting experience preferred

Experience leading operational initiatives such as financial performance improvement, physician enterprise transformation, and access

Intellectual horsepower that drives distinctive consultation to clients and enduring contributions to the firm

Superior communicator able to convey insights in a way that motivates clients to action

Outstanding people leader, adept at attracting, motivating, and developing consulting professionals and blending them into high-functioning teams

Solid track record of developing and managing strong client relationships and leveraging those relationships into high-impact engagements

Motivated and driven by mission; genuinely seeks to materially impact healthcare for the better

Advanced skills in MS Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.

Ability to travel as needed

Salary range: $223,000 – $261,500 plus may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. The salary range for this role considers the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications, practice area, and other business and organizational needs. In addition, Chartis offers several benefits including medical, dental, vision, HSA, FSA, disability insurance, life insurance, 401(k) match, paid time off, wellness stipend, and additional voluntary benefits.
