Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate (Level 2) or Experienced (Level 3) Aircraft Safety Engineers. The Boeing Defense Air Dominance Division Systems Safety & Mission Assurance organization is looking for an Aircraft Safety Engineer to join our US Navy Unmanned MQ-25 Stingray program in Berkeley, MO.
As an aircraft safety engineer, you will be responsible for working closely with other engineering disciplines to assess aircraft hardware/software/firmware design to identify all potential safety hazards and propose solutions to reduce or eliminate hazards to ensure product safety and customer mission success. Work scope includes safety hazard analysis/mitigation with issues identified during manufacturing and flight testing of our aircraft.
We are looking for individuals with a strong background in aircraft systems or Avionic / Software. Enthusiastic and highly collaborative engineers with a passion for technical details in both hardware and software. Experience in MIL-STD 882, JSSSEH, DO-178/DO-254 standards is highly desirable.
Ideal candidates are someone with aircraft design including hardware and software experience, and strong critical thinking skills. Someone that works well in a team environment, ability to apply Seek, Speak and Listen approach to effectively connect and build relationship with teammates and customers.
