While this position is based at Idaho Power’s downtown Boise location, we offer both flexible schedules and the opportunity to work up to 40% remote, once the initial in-person training period has been completed. What does an Associate Counsel or Corporate Counsel on the Litigation team do for us?
They support the company by providing legal advice and support on a variety of legal issues relating to Idaho Power’s business and operations. This includes proactively identifying and mitigating potential risk before it escalates to formal litigation, advising business units on legal risk, conducting investigations into matters that may result in claims against the company, and supporting the management of litigation, administrative proceedings, and dispute resolution. The role also serves as a legal advisor to the Human Resources department and provides legal support to other business units as needed.

Education: Juris Doctorate degree
Experience: 2 years of experience practicing law in a relevant specialty at a law firm, large corporate legal department, and/or with the government

This position requires working at a desk/computer for extended periods of time. It requires the use of office equipment, fine motor skills including typing on the computer, dialing phones, filing paper, and working in close proximity to other people.
