dsm-firmenich is seeking an Associate Operator for the 2nd shift in Lakeland, FL. You will handle material movements, weigh and package products, and maintain accurate records while following safety procedures. • Able to work in a facility with temperature variations and tolerate odors.

Responsibilities

• Perform material handling according to procedures and training.
• Maintain documentation for forklift inspections, batches, deliveries, and shipments.
• Offload raw materials into storage tanks per SOP and HS&E procedures.
• Accurately weigh and pack orders in containers per instructions.
• Follow inspection procedures for containers before filling.
• Stage empty packing containers and set up pumps and hoses.
• Inventory management and control of finished products.
• Take samples from raw materials and finished product for testing per QC requirements.
• Prepare product labels via SAP for blended material and shipping containers.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and follow safety regulations.
• Notify logistics team leader of issues.
• Collaborate with production, quality, HS&E, maintenance, and logistics.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Perform all material handling functions according to operating & safety procedures and training.
• Maintain accurate documentation records for forklift inspection, batch sheets, deliveries, and shipments, etc.
• Offload raw material into storage tank in accordance with SOP and HS&E procedures.
• Accurately weigh and pack orders in respective containers according to instructions.
• Follow inspection procedures for all containers prior to filling.
• Stages empty packing containers and sets up pumps and hoses.
• Inventory management and control of finished products.
• Take samples from raw materials and finished product for testing, while adhering to Quality Control requirements.
• Prepare product labels via SAP for blended material and adhere to appropriate container / tote for shipping.
• Maintains clean and safe work area, and adheres to safety regulations and procedures, understanding the hazards of handling the various chemicals.
• Notifying any issues to logistics team leader.
• Perform all other duties as required.
• Work closely with other support functions like production, quality, HS&E, maintenance, & Logistics (Export/Import).

You Bring:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience working in a warehouse environment preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Suite applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience with SAP preferred.
• Ability to use tablet and scan gun.
• Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Willingness to work in a facility with minimal temperature control, exposed to local temperature variations (hot & cold).
• Must be able to tolerate intense odors in and around manufacturing environment.

The hourly wage provided reflects the pay range dsm-firmenich expects to pay the successful candidate for the position. Individual pay offered will be based on the applicant’s job-related skills, experience, relevant education, or training, and primary work location. The hourly wage is $21.00.
