Job summary

GoodLeap is seeking a motivated Loan Officer Trainee to support top loan officers in the direct-to-consumer sales environment. You will learn mortgage programs, qualify customers, and provide exceptional service while taking live calls and gathering information for transfer to the sales floor.

Responsibilities

• Review mortgage applications prepared by licensed loan officers and assist with collecting, uploading, and labeling documents.
• Order disclosures, prepare income calculations, run automated underwriting, and scrub files for underwriting.
• Troubleshoot loan files and become an expert in loan programs and qualifications.
• Take inbound live transfer calls and outbound calls to collect information and transfer to the sales floor; provide excellent customer service.

This position is the first step into becoming a licensed loan officer in a direct-to-consumer sales environment with an exclusive, high converting lead source. You will provide sales support to our top loan officers while learning about different mortgage products, qualifying customers, and providing excellent customer service. You will also be taking live calls and gathering pertinent information prior to transferring them to the sales floor.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Review mortgage applications taken by licensed loan officers; assist in collecting, uploading, and labeling documents within our Loan Origination system. Order disclosures, prepare income calculations, run automated underwriting, prepare, and scrub files prior to submitting to underwriting.
• Troubleshoot loan files. Become an expert in loan programs and qualifications.
• Take inbound live transfer calls / make outbound phone calls and gather the necessary information and commitment to transfer them to our sales floor. Provide excellent customer service to GoodLeap customers.
• Attend daily training in preparation for your promotion into sales or take NMLS test.

Compensation:$24.04/ hr + potential bonus
