Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking an Associate Merchant to drive merchandising for assigned categories, supporting sales and margin goals. You will help develop forecasts, manage open-to-buy, and negotiate with vendors while shaping assortments and pricing strategy.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in business or related field and 2-5 years of merchandising or retail ops experience, with strong analytics and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Merchandising for assigned categories and supporting business objectives.
• Develop sales, margin plans and forecasts for categories.
• Manage open-to-buy and buy merchandise for categories.
• Negotiate pricing, quantity, delivery and terms with vendors.
• Develop planograms and assortment recommendations based on trends and needs.
• Implement category pricing strategy and exit strategies for slow-moving items.
