Job summary

Creative Cove Inc. in Rhode Island is seeking a Merchant with 3+ years of experience to drive merchandising strategy for costume jewelry and accessories. The role is onsite, Monday–Friday, 40 hours weekly, with collaboration across Design, Production, and Sales to meet costing and margin goals.

Experience with CAD and Photoshop is a plus, along with strong organizational and communication skills to manage multi-tasking and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in costume jewelry, accessories, and/or hair goods merchandising or buying.
• Experience with CAD and Photoshop is a plus.
• Proficient in fashion costume jewelry merchandising and identifying trends.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Our Rhode Island based jewelry client is looking for a Merchant with 3+ years' experience for an immediate hire; this role is onsite Monday-Friday and 40 hours per week. Looking for previous experience with jewelry and accessories and experience with CAD and Photoshop is a plus for this role.

• Drive merchandising strategy and assortment plans for merchandise category and channels
• Collaborate on concept development with Design to ensure assortment meets cost structure(s)
• Think creatively about packaging and presentation
• Analyze product performance, market conditions and feedback from customers continuously
• Update assortment, identify and suggest opportunities based on analysis; research trends, trend spotting, and interpret trends based on how they relate to the customer.
• Partner with Design, Production, and Sales to ensure execution to time-and-action calendar and timely delivery of goods, sales growth, and attainment of margin goals
• Raise and iidentify quality and technical issues and suggest solutions
• Contribute to category forecasting and ensure progress toward established financial goals.
• Present product line to supervisors
• Actively participate in review meetings, including edits, board review, pre-costing, line reviews, adoption, and post-market review.
• Communicate and follow up with internal and external vendors and audiesnce including customers, suppliers, vendors and licensors
