Job summary

Oscar Health is hiring an Associate, Member and Provider Optimization to join the Member and Provider Services Optimization team. The role focuses on designing, optimizing, and implementing better internal processes to support organizational goals.

You will collect requirements, manage project plans, document decisions, and communicate risk mitigation strategies across multiple stakeholders. You will report into the Associate Director, MPSO - Optimization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent; 3+ years of relevant experience may be considered.
  • 3+ years of operations, health insurance, data analysis, engineering or consulting experience.
  • 2+ years of data analytics tools (Excel, SQL, Python) experience.
  • 2+ years of end-to-end project management experience.
  • 2+ years designing and improving workflows and procedures.
  • 2+ years applying Lean, Six Sigma, or Theory of Constraints methods.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end management of cross-functional implementations/projects with stakeholder engagement and governance.
  • Evaluate departmental performance by collecting and analyzing data and developing metrics.
  • Collaborate with partner groups to drive proactive implementation and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Mentor team members and promote professional growth.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Hi, we’re Oscar. We’re hiring an Associate, Member and Provider Optimization to join our Member and Provider Services Optimization team.

About the role:

The Associate, Member and Provider Optimization is responsible for working cross functionally with business and technical Oscar stakeholders and representing the needs and interests of the department in company wide strategic initiatives and in solving business problems related to internal processes. You will lead the design, optimization, and implementation of processes and improvements to operations to support achieving organizational goals. This requires collecting and documenting business requirements, building and managing project plans, documenting key project decisions, managing project governance, applying frameworks, analyzing data, and developing and communicating risk mitigation strategies across disparate initiatives and stakeholders at the same time.

You will report into the Associate Director, MPSO - Optimization.

Work Location:

This is a remote position, open to candidates who reside in: Atlanta, Georgia. You will be fully remote; however, our approach to work may adapt over time. Future models could potentially involve a hybrid presence at the hub office associated with your metro area. #LI-Remote

Pay Transparency:

The base pay for this role is: $87,188.40- $114,434.78 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscar’s unlimited vacation program and annual performance bonuses.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the end-to-end management of cross-functional implementations/projects, including project plan creation, stakeholder engagement, managing cross-functional relationships to drive collaboration, edge case mitigation, and on-time completion
  • Evaluate overall departmental performance by creating, gathering, analyzing data and assisting in development of departmental metrics and implementation of mitigation strategies
  • Collaboratively works with all relevant partner groups to create proactive implementation, communications, and program strategies for successful change management and risk mitigation programs
  • Mentor team members and promotes colleagues’ growth
  • Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Other responsibilities as assigned
Requirements:
  • A bachelor’s degree or 3+ years commensurate experience
  • 3+ years of work experience in operations, health insurance, data analysis, engineering or consulting
  • 2+ years of experience using data software such as Excel, SQL, Python or other data analytics tools
  • 2+ years of experience with end-to-end project management
  • 2+ years of experience designing and improving workflows and standing up accompanying operating and technical procedures
  • 2+ years of experience with process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma or Theory of constraints
Bonus points:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or other related field
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or higher

Pay Transparency:

Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education, and experience.
