You will perform technical, physical, clerical and quality assurance tasks to ensure accurate patient results and efficient lab operations.

The position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology, MLS, or an equivalent science, with specific coursework or CLIA‑compliant qualifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree: Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or equivalent science, or meet CLIA requirements.
• Bachelor's Degree: In a chemical, physical, or biological science and completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Science program. Or
• Bachelor's Degree: Completion of 60 semester hours/90 quarter hours from an accredited college with required chemistry/biology coursework and at least 3 months of full-time clinical experience in all laboratory areas.

Responsibilities

• Employ professional knowledge and judgment to perform technical, physical, clerical and quality assurance functions in the department.
• Under the direction of the Section Supervisor, perform duties to support patient care and laboratory operations.
• Participate in quality assurance and compliance activities within the clinical laboratory.

Under the direction of the Section Supervisor, the Medical Technologist employs professional knowledge and judgment to perform technical, physical, clerical and quality assurance functions in the department.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree: Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or equivalent science, or meet CLIA requirements.
• Bachelor's Degree: In a chemical, physical, or biological science and completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Science program. Or
• Bachelor's Degree: Completion of 60 semester hours/90 quarter hours from an accredited college or university, including a minimum of 6 semester hours/9 quarter hours of chemistry, 6 semester hours/9 quarter hours of biology, and 12 semester hours/18 quarter hours of other chemistry, biology, and/or medical laboratory science courses, and at least 3 months of full-time clinical experience in all laboratory areas.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Upon hire: Certification from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP).
• 1 year of work experience in a clinical laboratory, preferably in a hospital setting.
