Job summary

Providence Covenant Medical Group is seeking an Associate Medical Assistant (MA I) to assist in providing basic patient care under the supervision of a licensed practitioner. The role combines administrative and clinical duties, performed according to established policies and regulations.

Eligible rehiring and external candidates can receive a $2,000 sign-on bonus, in addition to benefits that begin on day one.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a program with hands-on clinical training for medical assistants.
• Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program.
• Two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces or at least one year of relevant MA experience including basic clinical skills (vital signs, injections, medication administration). Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.

Job description

The Associate Medical Assistant (MA I) works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing basic patient care to assigned patients. Basic patient care needs will be met though both administrative and clinical duties. An Associate Medical Assistant (MA I) is expected to perform in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.

Required Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training Graduate of a school that includes hands on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants Or
• Coursework/Training Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program Or
• Coursework/Training Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces Or Minimum one year of work experience in a role similar to a medical assistant that includes the following clinical skills: obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration
  Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications:

• Upon hire: National Medical Assistant Certification
• 6 months Experience providing a high level of customer service in a fast-paced environment.
• 6 months Experience in a healthcare setting working with an Electronic Health record (EHR).
