Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Canoga Park, CA is seeking an Associate Mechanical Engineer to design detail parts, assemblies and installations for aircraft structures and systems. You will apply basic engineering principles, perform layouts, and coordinate with Tooling, Flight Sciences, Manufacturing and Production to meet requirements at minimum cost.

Eligible candidates are pursuing or recently completed a bachelor’s in Mechanical, Aerospace, Aeronautical, or Civil Engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Aeronautical, or Civil Engineering, or completion within last 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Participates in the design of detail parts, assemblies, and installations for aircraft structures, mission equipment installations, and mechanical systems installations.
• Applies basic engineering design and analytical theory with understanding of structural analysis for integrated system design.
• Coordinate design activities with Tooling, Flight Sciences, Manufacturing, and Production to ensure designs meet requirements at minimum cost.
• Designs will be accomplished using 3D solid modeling CAD tools and work will be done with senior-level design engineers.
• Mechanical design engineers will work on a wide variety of tasks and aircraft systems across platforms.

Job Description:

Participates in the design of detail parts, assemblies, and installations for aircraft structures, mission equipment installations, and mechanical systems installations. Designs will be accomplished using world-class, three-dimensional solid modeling CAD tools and work will be accomplished with senior-level design engineers. Mechanical design engineershave the opportunity towork on a wide variety of tasks and aircraft systems on various aircraft platforms.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California is $68,000 - $126,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
