The Campaigns & Content Social Marketing team is responsible for social strategy for TV programming, editorial in print and on .com, and Verts campaigns driving measurable impact through strategic partnerships, creator collaboration, and our owned social presence. We set the strategy in collaboration with other teams to curate and create content for branded channels educating and entertaining fans, so they discover new editorial and programming to read, watch, and talk about.
We are seeking an Associate Manager, Social Media to support strategic and creative social content development across Editorial content and TV titles. This role assists Managers and Sr. Managers with daily social content strategy for Editorial digital stories and magazine features (spanning Animals, Travel, Kids & Family, History, and Science topics), as well as campaign execution for TV titles.
The Associate Manager will support best-class creative execution from production through launch, with an audience-first approach that ladders up to key business goals: growing magazine and digital subscriptions, driving acquisition, and enhancing brand affinity.
To be successful, you will need to be a storyteller and marketer with excellent judgement to balance audience interests and business goals. You’ll have a deep passion, appreciation, and understanding of editorial and entertainment broadly, with a deep and breadth of knowledge spanning Natural History/Animal, Science, History, Travel and Adventure Culture and Kids topics.
The role is based in Washington, D.C. 4 days a week.
