Overview

This role is at Spirit AeroSystems, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, supporting Spirit’s Commercial Business Units ("Spirit Commercial"). Spirit Commercial designs and builds commercial aerostructures for Boeing Commercial Airplanes, including fuselages, pylons, nacelles, and wing components, with a focus on innovative composite and aluminium manufacturing solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Implement fabrications, assembly, or installation manufacturing plans by coordinating with suppliers, engineering, and manufacturing teams.
  • Develop tooling, interchangeability, replacement, and functional test plans.
  • Define sequences of events, develop text and graphics work instructions, manufacturing datasets, tooling requirements, and manufacturing bills of material using the established manufacturing process flow.
  • Communicate with engineering teams to influence and clarify design concepts, coordinate change incorporation, optimize processes, and address producibility, production and post‑production problems.
  • Demonstrate configuration control of hardware within the manufacturing build plan.
  • Apply process knowledge in one or more of the following areas: composite non‑metallic, electrical/electronics, machining, sheet metal, systems and structures.
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications (Required)

  • 2+ years of relevant manufacturing experience.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired)

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
  • Engineering degree from an accredited university.
  • Experience with manufacturing engineering.
  • Aerospace knowledge.
  • Experience with Catia programs.
