Job summary

DXC Technology is seeking an experienced software engineering leader to support a team delivering complex software products for a Bath, ME client. This on-site role requires mentoring, technical guidance, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project outcomes.

The candidate should have a strong programming background, 6+ years of relevant experience (including at least 2 years in a leadership capacity), and familiarity with modern development methodologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent; education and experience.
• Typically 6+ years of relevant industry experience with 2+ years in a similar role.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages and development methodologies.
• Strong programming and debugging skills.
• Prior leadership or mentoring experience.
• Familiarity with software development methodologies and best practices.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to learn and grow into a leadership role.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Advanced degree is a plus; relevant certificates are beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Support a team of software engineers in the development of software products and solutions, providing guidance, code reviews, and technical support.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (i.e., Computer Science) or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Typically, 6+ years of relevant work experience in industry, with a minimum of 2+ years in a similar role years of experience in software engineering
• Proficiency in 1 or more software languages and development methodologies
• Strong programming and debugging skills
• Some prior experience in a leadership or mentoring capacity
• Familiarity with software development methodologies and best practices
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Willingness to learn and grow in a leadership role
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Advanced degree in a related field is a plus
• Relevant certificates or training a plus

• Must be ITAR-compliant and able to provide proof of citizenship.

Compensation at DXC is influenced by an array of factors, including but not limited to the experience, job-related knowledge, skills, competencies, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position is $84,400 - $156,800.
