Epicor is seeking a Technical Leadership and Development Architect to lead a small team and deliver scalable features. You will guide architecture decisions, promote strong engineering practices, and collaborate across product, QA, and development teams.
You will own plans from design through delivery, mentor engineers, and help unblock the team. The role emphasizes strategic thinking, code quality, and cross‑team collaboration.
What you will be doing: Technical Leadership and Development Architect, develop, and deliver new features in alignment with business goals, technical standards, and long‑term product needs. Solve complex technical challenges with consideration for scalability, security, maintainability, reusability, and performance. Promote strong engineering practices through code reviews, technical guidance, developer tooling, testing patterns, and team‑defined standardsss. Take ownership of difficult technical tasks, refactors, blockers, and areas requiring deeper research or cross‑team coordination.
Lead a small team of developers through regular management practices, including coaching, feedback, career development, onboarding, and team support. Mentor engineers and help them grow through code reviews, pairing, technical guidance, and opportunities aligned to their skill levels. Help set team objectives and create an environment where engineers are unblocked, progressing, and able to do their best work. Support team culture through clear communication, collaboration, accountability, and team‑building opportunities.
Own the work assigned to your team, ensuring features, bugs, and support responsibilities are followed through from planning to delivery and post‑release support. Partner with product managers, QA, developers, and other team leads to plan, estimate, prioritize, and coordinate work. Help break down larger features and tasks into manageable pieces that can be completed safely and in a timely manner. Lead or support team ceremonies such as planning, stand‑ups, retrospectives, and other recurring team meetings.
