Job summary

SS&C Technologies is seeking an Associate Manager, Hedge Fund Accounting in a hybrid role with locations Atlanta, GA or Jacksonville, FL. The position supports ad-hoc reporting, month-end close, NAV calculations, and investor allocations across a broad set of products.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting and 5+ years of hedge fund accounting experience, with strong Excel and familiarity with Geneva or Advent software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline.
• 5+ years’ hedge fund accounting experience.
• Experience with hedge funds or fund-of-funds.
• Strong Excel with pivot tables and lookup functions.
• Familiarity with Geneva or Advent software.

Responsibilities

• Support ad-hoc reporting.
• Perform month-end close processes.
• Calculate fund NAVs accurately.
• Produce investor allocations and fees.
• Post entries to ledgers.
• Work with bonds, swaps, CDOs, ABS, equities, FX, and futures.
• Reconcile cash/securities and price portfolios daily.
• Assist reconciliation of accounting vs trade entries.
• Work with auditors on year-end accounts.

What You Will Get To Do

• Supporting all aspects of ad-hoc reporting
• Performing month-end close processes
• Accurate calculation of fund NAV’s
• Production of investor allocations and calculation of management/incentive fees
• Posting accounting entries to ledger
• Working with various products including bonds, swaps, CDOs, ABS, equities, options, FX, repos, and futures
• Working on a global team responsible for reconciling cash/securities to outside sources, pricing the fund portfolios, and calculating daily profit and loss
• Assisting with researching internal differences between the accounting and trade entry systems
• Working with auditors to prepare and present year-end financial accounts

What You Will Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline
• Experience/knowledge with hedge funds or fund-of-funds
• 5+ years’ experience/knowledge as a hedge fund accountant or auditor of hedge funds
• Fund Accounting with exposure to operations (products and trade process knowledge)
• Financial statement prep/review experience
• Ideal candidate has experience at an audit firm, a fund or bank, and an administrator
• Strong Excel knowledge (Pivot Table, Sumif, V-lookup)
• Geneva and/or Advent software knowledge a plus
