WTW in Houston seeks a Health and Benefits Associate Manager to contribute to design, financing, and ongoing management of health and benefit programs. You will support project managers, interface with vendors and clients, create deliverables, and ensure quality across initiatives.

You will grow health and benefits acumen, develop financial and project management skills, and collaborate with leaders on cutting-edge projects in a client-focused environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years’ experience in professional services, ideally in a benefit consulting/brokerage or health underwriting/actuarial function.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver quality results on time and within budget.
• Strong client service orientation and ability to respond to communications effectively and in a timely manner.
• Proven ability to identify and resolve issues.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-starter attitude and ability to work independently as part of a team.
• Strong analytical, creative, and integrative skills.
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• State Life and Health license required within 90 days of joining.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Responsabilités

• Support project managers on select health and benefits projects.
• Interface with vendors and clients to deliver client deliverables and ensure quality.
• Prepare for client meetings with agendas and materials.
• Support vendor procurement, implementation, and optimization activities.
• Provide benefit enrollment support and update internal systems.
• Contribute to reports for clients including Form 5500 filings and plan descriptions.
• Assist in benefit plan analysis, design, costsavings and funding strategies.
• Review client deliverables for alignment with objectives and best practices.
• Facilitate benchmarking studies and research for value-added analyses.
• Analyze and compare vendor products, services and contracts.
• Build internal relationships and collaborate cross-functionally.

Description

As a Health and Benefits Associate Manager you will contribute to a wide variety of projects involving the design, financing, and ongoing management of the full spectrum of health and benefit programs. You will support the project manager on select projects, interface with vendors and key clients internally and externally, create client deliverables, and ensure quality standards are met. You will have the opportunity to significantly grow your health and benefits business acumen as well as your financial, project management and client relationship skills by working on cutting edge projects alongside leaders in the industry.

TheRole

• Materiallycontributetocorehealthandbenefitsprojectsinvolvingthedesignandmanagementof group medical, dental, wellbeing, life, disability and absence management benefits for clients.Responsibilitiesinclude:

  • Partneringwithclientserviceteamleadertodeliversuperiorprojectmanagement

  • Providingsuperiorclientserviceinresponsetoday-to-dayserviceissuesandquestions (eligibility, carrier coverage and claims issues, compliance, etc.)

• Preparationforclientmeetings(prepareagendasandmaterials,coordinateresources, etc.)

• Supportingvendorprocurement,implementation,andoptimizationactivities

• Providingbenefitenrolmentsupport,includingpreparingmaterialsandpresentations,verifying policy and plan information, and updating internal systems as necessary

• Contributing to completion of reports and administrative actions for clients including Form 5500 filings,policycheckinganddelivery,monthlyreportingofclientandcarrierinformation,summary plan descriptions and certificates

• Supportingclientserviceteamleaderinbenefitplananalysis,design,costsavingsandfunding strategies

• Conductingreviewofclientdeliverablestoensurealignmenttoclientobjectives,leverageof optimal WTW services and solutions, and adherence to WTW professional excellence standards

• Facilitatingbenchmarkingstudiesandotherresearch;providingvalueaddedanalysesand summaries
