Job Overview

Join our Data Engineering team and create cutting‑edge solutions within Avanade’s Data & AI practice. We’re seeking ambitious technologists passionate about Microsoft cloud technology.

What You’ll Do

• Architecture, design, development, and delivery of enterprise‑grade analytics solutions based on Azure and Databricks technologies
• Constantly developing technical skills in the latest Azure and Databricks technologies — achieving and maintaining relevant certifications
• Working directly with high‑profile clients across a variety of sectors to understand their requirements and present solutions to customer sponsors

Skills and Experience

• 4–8 years of demonstrable end‑to‑end experience in Data Engineering, including large‑scale projects
• Experience with the latest Azure technologies, such as Fabric, Databricks, Synapse, Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage (Gen2), and CosmosDB
• Understanding of software‑engineering tools and concepts, including experience in Python, Scala, or PySpark
• Minimum of 3 years experience with SQL
• Confident communicator who can explain technical terms to non‑technical audiences and mentor junior colleagues
• Leads small development teams: tracks work, manages assignments, manages capacity, etc.

Compensation

Avanade provides a reasonable range of compensation that varies by location and role. Sample ranges include:

• California: $131,200 – $161,500
• Cleveland: $117,600 – $139,650
• Colorado: $117,600 – $139,650
• District of Columbia: $136,000 – $161,500
• Illinois: $131,200 – $155,800
• Maryland: $136,000 – $161,500
• Massachusetts: $136,000 – $161,500
• Minnesota: $117,600 – $139,650
• NewYork/NewJersey: $144,000 – $171,000
• Washington: $136,000 – $161,500
