Job summary

Qualifications

• A valid driver's license and a good driving record may be required. CPR/BLS may be required at location.

Responsibilities

• Perform light maintenance repairs and cleaning tasks under supervision.
• Take extra precautions in patient/resident care areas and keep tools out of reach of children.
• Use basic mechanical tools, meters, measuring devices and gauges.
• Familiarity with blueprints, schematics and technical manuals helpful.
• Explain conditions and situations accurately while troubleshooting.
• Work all shifts and hours as scheduled.
• Comply with policies and dress code.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Know relevant codes, specifications, and ordinances.
• May install and maintain mechanical systems including boiler operations; maintain campus grounds and other maintenance duties.

Job Summary

Responsible for light maintenance repair and cleaning tasks completed under supervision in a safe, professional manner. Must take extra precautions when working in patient/resident care areas and specifically keep tools out of the reach of children.

Must possess basic mechanical knowledge and show competence in the use of hand tools, meters, measuring devices and gauges.

A familiarity of blueprints, schematics and technical manuals helpful.

Must be able to explain conditions and situations accurately while troubleshooting. Ability to work all shifts and hours as scheduled.

Must comply with all corporate and facility policies and dress code. Understand written and verbal communications.

Works independently with minimal supervision. Must have knowledge of federal, state, and local codes, specifications, and ordinances.

Depending on facility size, additional duties may include but are not limited to: perform installation and maintenance of mechanical and stationary systems, including boiler operations, to ensure a safe and efficient environment; maintain campus grounds and perform other outside maintenance duties; perform general duties such as electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, HVAC, and bed repair and maintenance.

May require on-call duties as needed or as directed by the department.
