Job summary

Proper Law, PC in Los Angeles seeks an Associate Litigation Attorney with 1+ year of experience to take ownership of hearings, depositions, and discovery. You will manage your own caseload with support from a case manager and paralegal team.

Base salary is $150,000 to $200,000 depending on experience, plus a $5,000 sign-on bonus, performance bonuses, medical insurance, PTO and holidays, bar dues and CLE reimbursement, malpractice coverage, and a hybrid schedule after 90 days.

Qualifications

• Active California State Bar license in good standing.
• 1+ years of litigation experience (personal injury, employment, lemon law, or similar).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a caseload.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Attend case management conferences and law-and-motion hearings.
• Prepare clients for and defend their depositions.
• Draft motions and supporting papers.
• Propound and respond to written discovery and meet and confer with opposing counsel.

About the Role

We are seeking an Associate Litigation Attorney with 1+ years of litigation experience who is ready to take ownership of hearings, depositions, and discovery.
