Job summary

The Chemours Company in Newark, DE is seeking an Associate Investigator to join our Leveraged Analytical team focusing in Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy (NMR). You will develop as a technical resource collaborating with the broader analytical group and scientists across Technology.

The role requires hands-on NMR analyses, experimental design, data interpretation, and timely reporting to support R&D and product registration.

Qualifications

  • BS in Chemistry; degrees in closely related fields considered.
  • Experience with general laboratory manipulations and analytical sample preparation.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Commitment to safe operations with strong oral and written communication.

Responsibilities

  • Drive creative and integrated analytical solutions for internal and external requestors.
  • Participate in experimental design and execution.
  • Execute NMR analyses on a wide variety of sample types.
  • Support NMR lab operations including maintenance and cryogen fills.
  • Process, review and interpret experimental results and optimize methodologies.
  • Generate analytical reports to meet R&D needs and product registration requirements.
  • Communicate results to the Chemours R&D community.
  • Work independently and with cross-functional teams.
  • Independently formulate work plans and manage daily workflow.
