L3Harris Technologies in Colorado Springs is seeking an Associate, Information Security Systems Engineer to help secure networks, systems, and applications. You will guide assessments, oversee firewall/IDS/anti-virus deployment, and develop security policies for complex infrastructures.

The role requires a strong grasp of TCP/IP, LAN/WAN security, and related technologies, with opportunities to work on evolving security initiatives and client engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE/IT with network focus or related field, or completed within the last 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance in assessing security infrastructure and network design for security.
• Identify security risks, threats, and vulnerabilities of networks, systems, and apps.
• Oversee development and testing of firewalls, IDS, and anti-virus systems.
• Develop policies for securing system infrastructure and applications.
• Assess engineering initiatives and support security policy compliance.
• Perform product evaluations and recommend security products/services.
• Interact with clients and provide recommendations on information assurance standards.

Job Description:

• Provide guidance and oversight in assessing security infrastructure and network and systems design to ensure system/network security
• Identifysecurity risks, threats and vulnerabilities of networks, systems,applicationsandnew technologyinitiatives
• Provide oversightinthe development, testing and operation of firewalls, intrusion detection systems, enterprise anti-virussystemsand software deployment tools
• Develop policies and procedures for securing the system infrastructure and applications
• Develop complex technical and programmatic assessments, evaluate engineering and integrationinitiativesand provide technical support to assess security policies,standardsand guidelines
• Perform product evaluations, recommend and implement products/services for network security
• Interact with clients and provide recommendations on information assurance engineering standards, implementationdependenciesand changing information assurance related technologies

Qualifications

• To be eligible, applicants mustbe pursuingaBachelor’sdegreein ComputerScience, Computer Engineering,Information Technology/Computer Information Systems with Network Focus or Communications Focus, ElectricalEngineeringor related fieldor have completed theirBachelor’sdegree within the last 12months,regardlessof age.

Preferred Skills

• Solid understanding of TCP/IP and routing protocols
• Knowledge of LAN/WAN networking and security infrastructure (Firewalls, IDS/IPS, IPSec, VPNs)
• Knowledge of Computer/System Security topics such as Antivirus, Authentication, Authorization, Access Control, Cryptography, SSO, Business Continuity Planning and Application Security

PAY TRANSPARENCY:

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, Cleveland Ohio, and Vermont is $62,000- $115,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
