Job summary

Carrier Global Corporation is seeking an engineer to develop and design residential HVAC systems and subsystems, evaluate components, and validate thermal models. Collaborate with lab technicians to build prototypes and support testing.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required; preferred in Mechanical or Chemical engineering with knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer, and DOE approaches. Strong problem solving and cross-functional teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Experience with HVAC systems or related thermal/mechanical product development.
• Strong knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid dynamics.

Responsibilities

• Develop and design residential HVAC systems and subsystems.
• Evaluate and qualify HVAC components per reliability and performance standards.
• Develop and validate thermal models to support design decisions.
• Collaborate with lab technicians to build prototypes and support testing.
• Troubleshoot HVAC system issues and drive root-cause analysis.
