Qualifications

J.D. degree and NYS Bar admission required.
10+ years of legal practice, foundation/nonprofit experience preferred.
Ability to advise on grants, contracts, and complex legal agreements.

Responsibilities

Provide risk-based legal counsel across programmatic and operational matters.
Support due diligence, grantmaking, contracts, and governance reviews.
Draft and negotiate complex agreements including MOUs and grants.
Advise on global contracts, IP, and regulatory compliance.
Train staff on legal issues and internal policies.
Engage outside counsel on tax, regulatory, and compliance questions.
