Job summary

Orthopedic Care Partners is seeking an experienced Associate General Counsel to advise senior leadership on healthcare operations, compliance and contracting. You will work with physicians and operations teams to enable strategic growth and quality patient care across multiple sites.

Responsibilities include negotiating employment and vendor agreements, addressing Stark/AKS/HIPAA issues, and guiding regulatory matters.

Orthopedic Care Partners is seeking an experienced, business-minded Associate General Counsel to join our growing physician practice platform. This is an exciting opportunity for a healthcare attorney who wants to work closely with executive leadership, physician leaders, and operational teams to support strategic growth, clinical operations, and continued organizational success across a large, multi-site practice environment.

In this role, you will serve as a trusted legal advisor on a broad range of healthcare, regulatory, contracting, employment, compliance, risk management, and transactional matters. You will help guide practical decision-making in a fast-paced environment while supporting initiatives that enable our physicians and care teams to deliver exceptional patient care.

Requirements

What You’ll Do

• Provide practical legal advice to senior leaders, physicians, and business partners on healthcare operations, compliance, governance, employment, contracting, transactions, and risk management.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of agreements, including physician employment agreements, vendor contracts, professional services agreements, managed care arrangements, leases, and healthcare-related contracts.
• Advise on healthcare regulatory matters, including Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, HIPAA, fraud and abuse, licensure, reimbursement, and other laws affecting physician practices.
• Support growth initiatives, including acquisitions, affiliations, new practice locations, physician recruitment, and service line expansion.
• Partner with compliance, human resources, finance, operations, and outside counsel to solve complex legal and business issues.

What We’re Looking For

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and an active license to practice law.
• At least 4-7 years of relevant legal experience, preferably with healthcare providers, physician groups, hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, or management services organizations.
• Strong experience with healthcare contracting, regulatory compliance, employment matters, risk management, transactions, or litigation management.
• A practical, collaborative, and solutions-oriented approach to legal advice.
• Ability to thrive in a growing, entrepreneurial healthcare organization where legal guidance directly supports physicians, patients, and business growth.
